Mother Earth

The music in Harrison’s third CD release continues to build on his efforts to forge a distinctive and creative path in contemporary electronic music. Eight vibrant tracks followed by a four-movement composition in symphonic form, which includes two movements in sonata form, a minuet, and a rondo, round out this release. Inspiration for the music on Mother Earth Symphony was founded in Harrison’s growing interest in spirituality and reverence for the Earth, as we the listeners are taken on a journey from our first breaths on planet Earth to our eventual return to the heavens above. The range and contrast of the music, from the soft and sublime acoustic guitar lines in “The Moon of Falling Leaves”, to the huge resounding exposition and development sections in the “Oceans” sonata allegro movement offer evidence of Harrison’s continued evolution as a composer and musician.

Also featured on this CD is a featured track titled “Blue Wind”, the debut composition by Harrison’s son, Zach Edwards. The melody for the song, composed by Zach at the age of nine years old in an elementary school music class, represents his first commercial recording.

My spirit has wandered through eternity awaiting this moment in time when I first step foot upon the warm soil of Mother Earth, to begin my Earth Walk and fulfill my destiny on this blue oasis floating through space.

My human journey on The Good Red Road is one of harmony and balance, seeking to understand my place in this world and its relation to me. Each path I take strengthens my bond with nature, as its sympathetic vibrations resonate within my soul, echoing an eternal reminder that We Are All Related. And with every day, I awaken Facing East, to receive the morning sun and take in the power of its light. With the changing of the seasons I look forward to The Moon of Falling Leaves, which brings the vibrant colors of autumn and the cool fall air whose Blue Wind washes over my body and cleanses my soul.

The time will come when I must continue my spiritual journey and join those who have walked before me, as I ascend to Heaven to travel through eternity in The Great Country of Souls. As time passes on, long after I've gone, Silent Echoes of my existence linger on, reminding those who sense them, that I was here, while the arrows of time march forever on.
